We have had our Vue for 6 months and 6000 miles. We absolutely love it. It is a looker and everyone who gets in it loves it. We just took it for a 400 mile trip this weekend and got over 25 mpg in combined driving. My wife drives it 90% of the time so I enjoy these weekend trips where I get to drive it. Other than the slight noise I heard when you first get in the car and turn the wheel(the noise has seemed to disappear, haven't noticed it since my post), it has been perfect. I also have a 2003 Honda CRV which I drive . The Saturn seems to just as good a car as the Honda, except for maybe the quality of the fit and finish . I think for the money and the safety it is the best mid-size all around SUV on the market.

Still love my 2004 FWD V6! I've now had it for 11 months (14,750 miles) and still no problems what so ever. Only maintenance had been oil & filter changes every 3,000 miles and recently replaced the cabin air filter. Still waiting for my local dealer to set up my "recall" appt.

2004 AWD v6- 68000 mi.

Pretty happy with it, with the exception of-
driver's side bearing just replaced
drivers side sway bar replaced about 15000 mi ago
driver's side mirror cracked in half, like so many others
passenger side nozzle doesn't spray fluid at all, anddriver's side nozzle popped off.

Other than that cheap interior, but as it was said before a V6 AWD sport ute is hard to come by at this price.

Welcome to the forum! That doesn't sound too bad for 68,000 miles. Is that for real?
I think you're the highest mileage/year member!!

Maybe next to the 200K a year member Delivery Guy.

Anyway... I don't think I realize just how much I like my VUE until I don't have the chance to drive it... I literally lose sleep over it when it isn't here, like at the body shop or something. I have never owned anything in my life that I like as much as my VUE.

Default Re: Who is happy with there VUE ?

After what I drove in yesterday my hubby and I both agree that the Vue was a most excellent purchase.

I live in MO, and as some might know we had freezing rain, and a winter storm watch going on. Unfortunately we had to attend a funeral for a family member 8 miles away, and had no trouble getting there. Then we had to drive 130 miles north to attend the gravesite ceremony. It sleeted on us the whole way. We only had to stop two times to knock the ice off the wipers and scrape the windshield. But 5 other cars in our group had to do the same thing. Traction was the best and I acutally did not ask my hubby to drive like I normally do.

On the way home, we did not have the sleet to contend with, but it the roads were not in good shape, and again, we had no trouble.

Yep, pretty happy with the VUE!

I just finished a round trip to Tampa, FL. from Philadelphia PA.. I put nearly 3000 miles on my 2.2 VTi 2003 Vue in 9 days. The trip down was 1,030 miles, completed in 17 hours. That was an average speed of nearly 60 mph. Not bad considering the 4 stops for gas and 2 for food. Averaged 23.6 MPG

The gas mileage was not as good as I hoped it would be but not too bad considering most of the highway miles were over 75 MPH.

The Vue performed perfectly. I'm very happy with it but probably won't keep it beyond the 75,000 mile VTi warrantee.

I'm absolutely pleased with my 2004 VUE 2.2 VTI. It's Rainforest Green and I've gotten many compliments on how it looks.

We had a big ice storm here in central Ohio, and the VUE performed great on the roads. I drive to Cleveland in it once a week. Still waiting on improved gas mileage, however. I'm not getting any better than 25 MPG and any headwinds push the mileage down. I don't speed; 65-70 is what I drive on I-71.

My wife loves driving it, too.

I am totaly happy with my Vue. I have a 03 Silver Vue with the VTI transmission. I wanted a 5 speed but the delear only had a VTI in silver. I drive over 200 miles to work everyday and have had zero problems, not even the transmission! I have over 50,000 miles and just replaced the tires. I only wish that Saturn would have made the cargo cover as standard equipment. I just now added the bumper protection pad and think it looks great.Just a few Ideas to throw around. Can the Equinox's rear cargo panel be modified to fit the Vue? Or how about an Isuzu Rodeo's cargo cover? I really want to cover my belongings and have heard that the saturn cargo cover is awful not to mention discontinued. I have seen that saturn accessories.com does have some for sale if you go on parts catalog and enter the collision. The part number for the cargo cover is 22634912 for grey and 22634911 for neutral. The side bodyside cladding can be ordered there as well too the part number is 22694734. They even have the cladding as discounted while supplies last. Happy Saturning

Default Off Topic: Cargo Covers for the vue, and my alternative!

I've decided that purchasing a rubbermaid plastic container that is not see through, and with a lid suits me well. If I want to hide more things, then I buy more of them. If I want less, then I either take them out, or buy smaller ones. I used to keep my jumper cables (about 16 feet long, and heavy duty) around the spare, but found it a pain to take off all my "junk" in the cargo area, remove the panels, take the jumper cables out, and then put it all back. Now I just throw the cables and whatever else I want to hide (or keep from leaking such as cleaning supplies) into that container. Excellent if you need to move all that junk to say the front passenger seat to fold down the rear seats for a temporary load, and well it costs much less than the cargo cover.

overall, happy with my redline vue. handles well, good power, very reliable, excellent in snow, very comfortable with auto start on during chilly mass. weather, only downfall is the poor gas mileage, 12 mpg i'm experiencing but several have said its normal for all city driving.
