Smooth wheel rims possible?

On my 2008 Redline I kept losing air in two of the tires. The local tire dealer said the one with the worse leak was leaking around the TPS gasket so I replaced all four. Two weeks later the same two tires are still losing air - 5 lbs from one and 3 lbs from the other. The other two were spot on.





The rims, especially the rear one, look as though the prior owner blew the tires right off and rode on bare wheels.

Can the wheels be saved or do I look for replacements?

Your tire guy should have refused working on them. They should be scrapped.

RedOne07, you are a real breath of stale air. Besides that, I was afraid that would be the answer. The tire dealer is supposed to be reputable in this part of Ohio.
Thank you much. Now to decide if a set I found at car-part are worth getting.

PS - You were right as rain. Per one of the best wheel repair shops the wheels are chromed aluminum. In order to fix the scuffing they'd have remove the chrome, grind & polish, then rechrome. Since I can get a pair of wheels for around $350, I think I'll do that.

BTW - The part code for chromed aluminum wheels is PD5. For polished aluminum, it's QF8.
