Default Saturn die-cast

I have about 400 Matchbox-sized die cast cars but am lacking any Saturns.
Does anyone have die-cast Saturns they might part with?

There were some. Some examples I remember.

1:18 '96 SL2
1:18 '01 SC2
1:18 '02 VUE
1:18 '03 L300
1:24 '07 SKY
Hot Wheels '03 ION quad coupe

The SL2 and HW ION were sold only at retailers IIRC. the SC2 and VUE were made by AUTOArt. The L300 was made by Highway 61 collectibles.

never found any models of saturns and I have tried looking for them.

Typically its hard to find ANY models of produced cars, with limited edition models or special one off concepts being the only time a model is produced for a given type.

I think I still have a couple Hot Wheels Ion quad coupes that are still in the box. If you want one, send an email with your snail mail address. Free shipping if you include two or three paragraphs with your Saturn story: what kind of Saturn you own, why you're a Saturn fan, and how long you've been an owner (or anything else you think might be interesting).

Thanks!

Yeah, started to say, the only way you'd find a model or die-cast sedan is if it's a police car.

Why they only make diecasts of sports/pony/muscle cars, trucks, and a few SUVs, who knows. I tried finding a model or even a die-cast of a '77-'85 LeSabre or Bonneville, no dice.

They are out there and not hard to find, all you have to do is look. I have a few of the die cast 3rd gen SC2s and a limited polymer cast SL2. They are also die cast Vues, l series, and Skys out there

They have to be able to sell enough to make the casting worth it.
More than 10K for expensive cars (over $100) and more than 100K for cheap ones ($20-$50)

Can't figure out why they made a casting of the L300, they probably lost a bunch of money on that one.

Technically, this an Opel GT model, but you can find this Sky diecast model in many better hobby shops:

I have that Opel. I got it at GM's Test Track at Epcot a couple of years ago.

The best selection of die cast models I've been able to find is at www.exoticar.com. I've bought from them a number of times and they seem to be pretty good. I believe you can still find a 1:18 Vue on sale there.

Thats an Opel Speedster, which was a Europe-only car built off the Lotus Elise. Mine's an Opel GT, which is the same thing as a Sky, just different logo. Nice model, though.

Some how it seems counter-intuitive to produce a metal die cast model of a plastic-bodied car ...

I've been looking for a while but the only place I've ever seen any Saturn models is in the little display case next to the parts counter at the dealer. They have Sky models for, IIRC, 75 dollars or so.

As far as model kits go, I've been looking nearly forever for the Sky but all I can find are Solstice kits... which I find somewhat amusing. I've never in my life seen an S series model, even at the dealership, but I wouldn't mind having one if I could find one.

You owe me one. It's not a kit, but you can now get a blue or red Sky 1:24 from Maisto for $14.99 at www.exoticar.com. Go to the main page and use the "Search" function. Type in Saturn where it says "Keyword/Item #:".

No SW? Weak. No actually I need to get these now. The SLs and SCs, and maybe an L so I can crash it in a wall or something.

Wonder if I can find these on eBay!
