Default Not Dead Yet!?

I got this ad from my local Saturn dealer yesterday:

Thought I'd post it here, just to see what people would think. Kinda reeks of desperation to me, unless they know something we don't. Anyone else see something similar in their area?

Thumbs Up Re: Not Dead Yet!?

Whatever your sentiments on this flyer, or Saturn, I think it is a brilliant idea to counter all of the NEGATIVITY that is actually contributing to hurting Saturn today and keeping prospective buyers away.

Negativity or "realism" as some posters here are liking to call it will never have a positive effect. At least this particular Saturn dealership is doing something POSITIVE (like it or not) to counter customer concerns and all the negative hype.

Great ad. Good for them. It can only give Saturn consumers confidence. I'd like to see an ad like that from my local Saturn store.

I do dig its positiveness, as really I want to see Saturn make it, but in some respects, it does seem like a bit of a "last ditch effort". So, I really don't have a strong opinion one way or the other. I just thought it was an interesting piece of Saturn marketing and wondered what you guys thought of it.
For the record, I actually bought my second SW2 from these guys and they're a decent retailer. Had Saturn offered something I wanted, I would've bought another from them. They opened their Boardman location, (a better location than the original in Niles, IMO) just a couple years ago and that probably accounts for their sales increase. Although, in some respects, it probably means they have a bit more to lose than some other dealers. What helps them is Lordstown is close by and this is a very pro-GM area.

Last time I was at my Saturn retailer, there was something similar to this posted right on the front door. It's a shame that the rumours have hurt Saturns sales.

We'll show 'em. I'm sure Saturn will keep on trucking. I bet West Herr's two Saturn retailers in Western NY are still the biggest sellers!

I bought my first SW2 from Clarence, great dealer. It'd be a shame to see them go.

Any and all rumors can easily be dispelled if GM would simply say what their plans for Saturn are.

Does GM itself even know what its plans for Saturn are yet?
Are they still deciding?
Have they known from day 1 what their plans will be?

Good for them for letting people know the facts of whats going on with Saturn rather than let them believe the bull**** predictions from the media and web.

From what I understand we will hear something by Feb 17th. Everything else until then is all bull if it didn't come directly from GM.

So we will all have to wait and see and unfortunately endure the retarded self-serving predictions from naysayers and trolls until we know the actual outcome.

Yep, I bought my Ion from Saturn of Orchard Park, my Aura came from Clarence (not where I got it though.)

I really like the West Herr group. All of their dealers have adopted a lot of Saturns ideas.

I don't think GM needs to state any plans until they have made up their mind. Everything is speculation. GM will announce their plans once they make a decision.
