Strut mount bearing noise=danger?
When turning left or right a groaning noise can be heard coming from the right strut near the top. It sounds like it's coming out of the spring. I think it's the bearing but I just replaced it 20k mi ago. That shouldn't happen! It was a PIA and I don't want to shell out the money for another alignment. There is no clunking when you go over a bump like the first time it was bad. If the bearing is making this noise, what is the worst thing that could happen while driving? What's the negative side effect of having strut mount bearing failure? I can live with a little noise. I just want to know if it's a safety issue.

Re: Strut mount bearing noise=danger?
the noise will get louder and sound crunchier. when you do replace it the ball bearings will probably fall out when you remove the big nut on top of the strut. enjoy.
