ion 3 auto cruise control
I have been following this site hopeing i could get fix my intermitting cruise to work. i see there is a lot of info for the manual cars, but very little help with the automatic. so here was my problem, it seems that the cruise would work sometime and not always. i tried just about everything, not really knowing just what to check. ok, to make a long story short, I sprayed tuner cleaner into the two switches,, and it would work. so i realized that my problem was the switch. i have no idea how to get the switches removed from the steering wheel, to replace them but so far it is working like it should.
sorry to take so long here, but i spent a lot of time before i figured this out. thanks for reading this,

Ah, also, automatics and manuals are the same, besides the shifter, transmission, and btsi.

well, i did figure out how to remove the switch assy, and i now know the switch is defective. I am now in the process of trying to get a new assy. many thanks, i guess the tuner cleaner really gave me the hint that my problem was the switch. thanks all.

Switch $38 at dealer and a 2 week wait. the lock junk yard $10 and a two minute fix.
