The code is for the rear sensor heater circuit. Check EGR fuse and if it is good which it should be then check The cabling under the car and the condition of teh connector mounted on the top of the back rail of the cradle. Do not use any cleaner or grease on that connector. A bad flex leak can cause this code if you are sucking enough air.

Your '98 uses an integrated filter/fuel pressure regulator and will run around $70+, and generally don't cause problems before 150k miles or so (owner's manual calls for replacement at 100k miles)

If you got the stuttering after changing the cover, I'd check to make sure the wires are run correctly and tight at both ends

1 & 4 should run parallel next to each other, 2 & 3 should run the same

Do the cylinders run like this?

Front left {1234}--trans right side--

I'm noticing that when it is cold it runs great CEL on and all. When it warms up it starts the stuttering after you let off the gas under acceleration, and it seems rather gutless once it's warmed up. I'm not talking overheating it stays about 1/4 to 1/2 on the temp gauge never goes above that. Other than that when its cool it runs pretty good considering it has 218,xxx miles on it!

Make it look like this

Ignition wire routing as seen when looking at the engine and coils from the front, hood open, your left to right.

Engine
1-2-3-4

4-1-2-3
coil towers

Connect the matching numbers with a plug wire.

Cylinder #1 is at the right side of the car, passenger side.

The car will not run correctly with a defective ECTS and/or leaking exhaust.

There should be a diagram on the radiator support, but nobody ever remembers or notices that I forget half the time, myself

I'm gonna miss MS Paint when MS drops it
