Default hi and need help. blowing fuse

hi im new here, but i need help. i have a 97 sl2 dual overhead. i had to pull the motor to replace the connecting rod bearings. well i put the motor back in and im pretty sure i got the wiring right. but now when i try to put it the key in start position, i keep blowing out the 30A fuse in the underhood fusebox, its labeled ign 3. i removed all the wires from the starter, except the hot wire, and tryed again and still blew the fuse. i really dont know where to start looking.

You might want to go back and check to make sure that you didn't get a wire pinched when you dropped the motor back in. If you did, disconnecting them at the starter won't accually keep you from blowing a fuse. As the problem will be before the starter. If all the wires are clear, try disconnecting alternator wires, I've had it blow ign fuses on other vehicles (non-saturn).
