Default Rear sway bar link?

Well i go to check my rear brakes and i notice this lil bar has ripped right thru the rubber bushing and is just hanging there...rear sway bar link?? Anywho my question is this...to remove/replace it do i just take out those bolts and are there already bolts supposed to be attached to the replacement? Do i need to jack up the rear end suspension to do this job? The 2 pics on the left are the drivers side and the other 2 are passenger which wiggles a lot so im guessing its on its way out too. Thanx in advance

Just lift the car, remove the wheel and remove the nuts holding it on. Might have to spray some sort of penetrating oil in it with all that rust on there.

They're $40.12 at saturnparts.net

I just replaced mine on my 1996 sl2. It seems to be a common problem. The round metal grease caps/covers on the back of the "ball and socket" joints fall off---grease gets washed away and you have metal on metal wear until finally they come apart.
I've looked everywhere for an aftermarket part with no luck. You're stuck paying a fortune at your dealer.

I just spent some time scrolling through Ebay and there are many kinds of rear links available. (Like the ones you need) I'm going to check mine out next week.

Had a clunk in rear and thought it was links. Checked them this morning and they seem in good shape. Couldn't isolate any other part as suspect.

Rock auto has Moog parts with Zerk fittings for $7.54. Amazon has some starting at $13.

Great pics, BTW!

That is what I recently installed. Were in a Carquest Box. Was an upgrade.

Hmmm

Sprayed links with PB Blaster and my clunk is gone.

At least when I manually bounce the car with downward pressure on rear driver side. It would pop or clunk before.

How difficult is it to replace the rear sway bar links yourself?

It is very easy, unless the nuts are rusted on. Even then you can get them with heat and penetrating oil.
