Front Suspension Noise

My 99SL2 front end makes a single "pop" noise when making a sharp right turn. At first it only happened when I would back my car out of the garage and cut the steering wheel sharply to the right to back into an alley. Since I was backing down a short ramp, I thought it was just a tire hitting the wheel well or a polymer panel creaking. Now it happens when I back out of a flat parking space or make a right turn from a stop.I now also can feel the "pop" through the steering wheel.Does anyone know what the problem is?

there is a bulliten on this subject. have your dealer look for it. it has to do with droping the steering collum ,moving it slightly and reinstalling it. that should stop your problem

Saldana - I have not taken in the car for repair/evaluation as of yet.
