Happy Saturn SL2 2001 rear lateral link

Is there anything that can go wrong with the rear lateral link that I should be worried about? For example a bushing that may be worn away?

I have started to have a squeak in the back of my Saturn SL2. I went in the back and put some oil on the center joint and now the squeak is gone. The red circle is where I put the oil. It is not my car but it is the same location. Just about a teaspoon of oil and a wipe with a small rag and no more squeak.
