Default 2005 Ion suspension noise fixed

I had a noise in the front suspension during bumps and turning the wheel at slow speeds. First I replaced the Stabilizer Bar Link ($25) on the driver side as the last time I had a noise on the passenger side that was the problem. But the noise persisted so I came here to the forum and read everything about Ion suspension problem that seemed relavent. Then I got back under the car and had my son shake/bounce (turned out lifting the wheel well while pushing the car to the side made a knocking noise) the car on ramps with me under there and I heard the sound coming from the rear control arm bushing. So I ordered both contol arms ($137.50 from Rockauto) and put them on. STILL had the noise !
Then I went to Harbor Freight and got a mechanic's stethoscope did the shake thing on ramps and held the end to the rear engine mount, the steering shaft (had him turn it) and the Stabilizer Bar Bushing which are all right next to each other. And this time the noise was pin pointed to the Stabilizer Bar Bushing . I then bought Moog - Sway/Stabilizer Bar Bushing Kit Part # K200046 ($11.99) from the local auto parts store and the noise is gone.

I'm putting this info in to possibly help someone else from making my same mistakes.

Good to hear you got it solved, but a word of advice, with the end links and bushings, replacing both sides is always advisable since ions have issues with them, and it well provide the best performance.
