Idea The Aura ride (solved)????

Well, after countless searching for new struts that would quite out (my ride...I know some of you say you don't experience what I did. On drop off's/bumps in the road. While I was going around a corner I would hear a chattering probably for the past 2.5 years.) I thought it was just crap suspension in my mind meaning struts.) Back to my probable solution. I went to advanced auto parts ( I know right) The guy there said first check the linkage between the swaybar and the strut tower for any clunk. I did that tonight and it proved to be so. I could replecate the sound by moving the linkage back and fourth on a smaller scale. That sound would definatly amplify with more pressure on it. So I'm going to replace my front linkage with these... http://www.napaonline.com/Search/Det...59999+3999999#

I called Napa and he confiremed that the way he saw it was the linkage in the Aura is not strong enough for the tight struts they have. If you push on the linkage either way it's incredibly flimsy. Aparently this Moog linkage is suposeed to be some of the best. If that linkage would bend that would send some of the road force back through the sway bar causing noise in the frame. (This was what I vaugly took away from the tech's thoughts) Don't hate if you don't agree please correct me. So I don;t sound like an idot next time

I'll update later this week after driving it around, who knows maybe it will improve some body roll slightly.

Ok correction. That link won't work. You have to put in the Aura and 07... ect and find the swaybar link.

Update.

The sway bar links did make an improvment of my complaint that when you go over a big bump and turning that it would feel like the car is falling apart. The same to as when I went over a sizable fall off in thear road. The links are about 50% thicker than the stock ones and cannot be bent when pulled on to feel if the ball sockets in them were loose. The old ones did seem to be defective. After I took them out, the ball joints in them flopped around inside.

However this made a nice improvment, The next problem I am having is that when I am turning in a parking lot or something and go over some uneven pavment for small bumps. I get this quick chattering coming from the front end of the car. I can feel it in my steering wheel. I did check the tie end bushing but they didn't seem to move around. Is there still a possibility that they could be shot. The left boot of the bushing seemed like it was torn a bit. Could that be what is chattering?

Might be a stupid thing but the bearings on the strut mount might be shot? Those bearings may have had the grease dry up and now minor high frequency bumps cause the shimmy felt in the steering wheel. Just a thought.

Spot, you said the swap bar linkages are larger on the Napa parts?

I found some parts from Napa, but I don't know that they look any larger, perhaps it's just a stock photo? Do you have any comparison pictures?
