Default Auto Trans fluid-?

The Auto trans call's for DEXIIE. Can I use?

Valvoline Import Multi-Vehicle Automatic Transmission Fluid.

I live in California--no Mobil 1 ATF no low VOC.
I used used to use Mobil one ATF.

Thanks Matt

What does the back of the package claim it is compatible with? Dexron - 3 is what you are looking for on the back.

As a guess the Import Vehicle ATF is probably not what you want

Any name brand Universal Dexron/Mercon ATF will usually be what you want.

Any fluid that is compatible with Dex II (and/or) Dex III should work fine. Dex VI, however, is not acceptable.

Most good universal fluids are fine. Synthetics are strongly recommended.

You may still be able to order Mobil 1 online.

However, Amsoil Torque Drive and Castrol Transynd (exactly the same fluid) are superior, and if you sign up for Amsoil's preferred customer program, it's comparable, if not cheaper than Mobil 1. Many Amsoil dealers offer free shipping (although there may be a minimum order limit for free shipping).
