Front end roaring and vibrations
I just bought a 2000 s serious and a few days ago the driver side started vibrating sound and like a roaring noise from the tires anywhere from 35 mph up. I thought about the wheel bearing but someone said it could be a control arm. How would I tell which one it is since I cant afford to fix both. Also when I put the tire back on after changing it, and went to tighten th he lug nut up after letting the jack down there were movement in the whole tire

Re: Front end roaring and vibrations
Jack up that wheel.
If you can rock the wheel - top and bottom - and feel/ see movement - and probably hear clunking as well - it's a bearing.
Of course if it IS the control arm - when you pop the ball joint loose from the steering knuckle - you will find that loose.
So you will find it either way. Just wait to buy parts till you determine what is defective.
How are you set for tools?
2 94 SC2 parted out
2 96 SC2
98 SC2 - rusty frame minus engine.
