Default Saturn SL1 Code Reset

Hey Guys,

I know very little about cars, but a friend of mine just changed out my radiator fan motor and switch. Now when I start up my car and the fan kicks on the coolant temp light and the service engine light both come on. My friend advised that I may have to reset the computer and was wondering if any of you guys could help in doing that. Thank you for any help you can provide.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

First question: what year is the car?

Oh, and when you say "when I start up my car and the fan kicks on", do you mean the fan kicks on right away? It shouldn't.

Sorry 1995 SL1. And yes the fan seems to kick on right away.

If you are going to be changing the sensor, go to the saturn dealer and ask them for the part. While looking for the part their puter will display the location of the sensor in the car ask nicely to get a printout of the picture. This save me tons of learning...
