2005 VUE 2.2L
Default AC parts diagram/layout..

Is there an online diagram/layout of the AC system on a VUE so I can figure out where all the connections/parts are; and what type of AC system it is?

thanks

...
Ed

Ed ... I've gone through the service manual and don't find an illustration of the AC system. There are descriptions and electrical schematics. Will those help?

I did a Google using Saturn Vue airconditioning system and found several possibles. Perhaps you could find something of value there.

I rarely visit forum but respond to private messages (PM). PM creates email to phone & please include email address with question. Avoid using Visitor Message feature ... I almost never check those.

I've tried googling, but not with any luck....

I have some knowledge of how AC systems work, rebuilt a couple; so basic descriptions aren't needed.

The R134a has left the building, so the problem isn't electrical.

At the moment, I'm really just trying to find ALL the connections between the parts to look for leaks............

Compressor seal is always a likely candidate. Something like this might help . . .

If you insist on finding a leak at any fitting you may lose perspective of the a/c system overall; its a sealed system that can leak refrigerant anywhere. Heat, cold, and vibration along with road debris wears out our systems from expansion, contraction, metal fatigue, chafing, loose fittings, and seal leak. The entire system is inspected from top to bottom visually if an electronic leak detector isn't available. An inexpensive UV light can help to illuminate fluorescent dye installed from the factory in a dark garage or at night. Dye is yellowish green. Refrigerant oil will also leak out and mark the source of a leak. And consider the two service valves as sources of leaks when either the valves aren't tightened or worn and the caps left loose. Some members have found valves leaking when the rest of the system showed no indications of leaking. The obvious sign was bubbling at the valve as some oil leaks past with R134a bubbling out. Look over, under and sideways to spot oil/dye markers. They can show up anywhere. Another member found a clamp had rubbed through the aluminum tubing causing a rupture and release of dye and oil.
