General recommendations- Sway Bar Links and Wheel Bearings
Hello everyone- I'n just looking for General Recommendations on Sway Bar Links and Wheel Bearings. This would be for my 2007 Chevy Uplander (similar to the Saturn Relay- from a body style.)
I've used Timken Wheel Bearings and Moog Suspension parts before. Back when we owned our 97 SW2- I replaced the Rear Sway Bar Links with Moog Links and they were great.
Just wondering for the larger vehicles, as in Minivan size- if there are any differences, or if there are any specific brands for Wheel Bearings and Sway Bar Links that would be recommended?
I will be replacing these on the front of the van- as the Uplander has front wheel hub assemblies, where the the Wheel Bearing is encased in the Hub itself- with the ABS Sensor plug. Doesn't look too bad to change- but we just had to get new tires installed on the Van today; and the Tire Shop stated that the Wheel Bearings and the Sway Bar Links should be replaced. The Van currently has ~180K miles on it. I have done brakes on this Van a few times. We have owned the Van since 2014, so this would be the first time that wheel bearings and Sway Bar Links would be replaced. They are probably due anyway.
Just wondered what everyone's thoughts are?
-Oh- and despite the fact that the Uplander/Relay/Montana/Terraza didn't get good Consumer reviews- our Van has been a decent Van. Granted we did have to the get the Transmission rebuilt- it has been a solid Van since we have owned it.
