Floorboards wet on both driver and passanger side, are the sunroof drains the problem, as the head liner is not wet?

A friend had this problem in his '94 SL2. Turned out to be A/C condensation.

Certainly could be. Is it more in the front or the back? I'd run down your drain tubes 1st. If you use the search function, somebody posted pictures and schematics of the exit points.
Be sure to always post the year make and model of your car. The sunroof design changed between 96-97. |

On the passenger side, under the hood and close to the windshield, there should be a foam oval that looks like a 4 inch "0" with a plastic screen on top. If the glue on that is letting loose, it'll practically flood the floorboards if it rains or you wash it. It happens on both passenger and drivers side. I thought my sunroof was leaking but it was dry and it turned out that foam was just sitting over that hole with no glue/seal holding it down.
