I would still recommend changing the hydraulic system, but it is a good sign that the pumping has helped.

If it had a large leak I would think you'd loose some clutch throw with that.

Try pumping the clutch, then holding it down for a minute or two with the car in 1st gear. If there is a large leak, it will bleed down and start to creep forwards as you lose pressure in the system due to the leak. If not, I would assume there was some air that had to be bled out of the system.

Regardless, it may be wise to replace the hydraulics, unless you are able to get this set to produce and maintain (over time) the proper amount of travel at the fork.

I wouldn't steer you wrong - the clutch bleed technique that holydiver posted back in 2011 is a good one!
