I ordered 2 oem direct fit two wire temp sensors for my 92 sl2 the new one is keyed differently and caused a code 14 to pop up.
i.imgur.com/DJjpH.jpg Otherwise it is identical. Yes I just shoved it on. Is this just the wrong part? Or is there a polarity to these and I installed it backwards.

The newb that I am is apparently not allowed to post links.
Couldn't really get a picture to show the keys very well. So sorry for the finger painting.

The old part is the 2 wire PCM sensor, the new part is the single wire gauge sender. Move it to the upper single wire connector location then go try again with the parts counter guy, tell 'em you have a '98 instead of a '92 and you'll get the right part for the 2 wire sensor.

Unfortunately I was the parts counter guy when I ordered these from rockauto.
![]() I just like that cleaning the couch out covers my stupidity. Thanks.

At least you can still use the part with their screw up, the parking brake cables I ordered on the other hand I lost over $25 to the bums 'cause they put the wrong part in the right box.

HAHA hey it got the information I needed!
![]() My local advance has a temp sensor in stock (checked for 98 not 92 as suggested) The picture shows two keys in the center, I'll definitely verify that before leaving the store. I got an O2 sensor as well, and it seems to be identical but I haven't had time to replace it yet. It has a connector and does not require any splicing. The test drive with the wrong temp sensor still lead to a stall and rough running, which seems to point to the purge solenoid. It is still throwing a code for the O2 sensor and the quad driver. Better not rain this weekend.
