Default what type transmission do i have?

I have a 2006 Vue, AWD, V6. Ive done the VIN decoder to get info on transmission type, it's not given in any of them. Im just trying to get the right oil in the tranny. I bought Honda oil, but right on the jar it states not for use in CVT transmission. I dont want to put wrong oil in. The VIN is 5GZCZ634065S825228. I think the last shop put the wrong stuff in it, anyway I have renewed the drivers side output shaft, (CV shaft), now I want to put oil in it, but dont want to mess it up. Can someone help me to ID the transmission from VIN, and what specific oil to use. Thank you so much! my daughter is waiting to drive it, but I wont let her, until its right.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

You have a Honda transmission (5 speeds IIRC) so you can use Honda, fluid or Valvoline Multi Vehicle Synthetic Import https://www.valvoline.com/our-produc...smission-fluid with full safety. Be grateful you don't have the CVT nightmare.
What you have is a good solid drivetrain. The rest ehhhh but engine and trans are very good

the 01-03 V6 accords had lots of trans trouble. the 02-05 odysseys had a lot of trans troubles. the honda vue does not seem to have trans troubles. none knows why

You have the right oil if you have the Honda brand, off the top of my head it's DZ1 or something close to that. If you have a V6 you defenitely don't have a CVT tranny.

FYI plenty of people have used Valvoline Maxlife (my choice) or Castrol Transmax Import Multi-Vehicle with fine results. Some have successfully used Amsoil as well. I would change the trans fluid religiously, since these are known for torque converter shudder, among other things. I bought an '07 V6 last year with 126k miles very cheap ($2000) because of shudder, but it was otherwise in nice shape. I did the Honda-recommended 3x drain and refill with Maxlife, and the shudder was gone. I'm at 147k miles, and shifting fine. I'm about to do another drain and refill. Each drain and refill gets out almost 4 quarts, so the 4 quart jug of Maxlife from AutoZone for less than $20 is perfect. Just a thought!

Edit: Honda DW-1 supercedes the older Z1 that was spec'd originally. Guess what? There are plenty of newer Honda transmissions not acting right because of the fluid shear.

CVTs were only used in 4 cyl 2.2L engines in Vues for two or three years. A cvt with a V6 wouldn't last at all with the extra torque from V6 engines. The CVTs were poorly made and chosen from Saturn as the first cvt in any GM vehicle with disastrous results. The 'chosen' cvt was made in Hungary.
