93 SW2 sudden loss of oil pressure
Got my 93 SW2 home.
Story from previous owner ( second hand info) the original owner - from southern Indiana was in Holland Michigan a few weeks back - and had the oil light come on - and a bit of lifter noise developed at the same time. Any likely culprits come to mind? I' ve been over this car - and it' s by far the cleanest gen one car I' ve seen. Interior near perfect, only a couple scratches in the paint - all the clear coat is still good. It even came with good Firestone tires. Just under 80 k miles. I' D be happy even if I need to get as new engine for it. ... 92 SC2 93 SC2 96 SC2 97 SL2 97 SC2 99 SC2 01 SC2 02 SC2 02 SL2 parts 2 94 SC2 parted out 2 96 SC2 98 SC2 - rusty frame minus engine.

Are you sure it has developed lifter noise? My SC1 had the oil light come on this last winter, and all it was was the oil pressure switch, which apparently is fairly common. Car's been running great since replacing it. The thing was - I was convinced I heard lifter noise, but it was all in my mind. I suppose testing the oil pressure will tell.
... 2000 SC1 - Bone Stock No power windows, no power locks, no AC, no cruise control...just a good DD that has nothing to break on it

If its knocking I'd put an oil pressure gauge on it.
