Satrun Sky (all wheel drive?)

My friend owns a top of the line Saturn Sky ~2009 and she is convinced that it is all wheel drive and drives it in the snow accordingly. First of all, does the Sky come in all wheel drive? Secondly, should she drive such a nice, low clearance car in the snow? And if this is not possibly all wheel drive, how do I notify her without bursting her bubble?

Ask her to read her owner's manual............ Or if she insists on believing its 4wd she may be in for a rude awakening some day when she loses traction and slides into something to ruin a perfectly nice sports car. Summer or winter. Specs state Sky's are rear wheel drive. She may feel very confident if she drives at speeds conducive to safe traction and braking control. It may also be the shorter wheelbase allowing better weight distribution for better overall traction and braking.

The foolishness of those believing their suv's, cars or trucks (with or without awd) will get them thru poor road conditions are the abandoned ones all over the Long Island Expressway during the polar vortex two years. Pictures show the stupidity and ignorance of those thinking their vehicles will get them thru poor weather conditions. The day vehicles were abandoned all over the city and highways occurred during a heavy snow fall with drivers ignoring the warnings during the day to leave early and attempt to drive before the snow gets too deep or contemplate an overnight stay in local hotels. A few heeded these warnings.

Dang, why is she driving such a nice car in the snow belt anyway? I was in Ohio for three weeks recently, you see the nicest late-model cars with tin worms. It seems that no cars are immune to damage from the Salt Gods.

The Sky is rear wheel drive. She should give it to me for safe keeping.
