Default No Heat in my SC2

I have a 1996 Saturn SC2, I can let the damn thing run for 30-45 mins and NO heat comes out. The AC works just fine and when I'm driving the car the heat still doesnt work.
All of the fluids are full and its not leaking anything. Under the hood all the hoses are new. I'm thinking the problem could be my heater core but I dont have any leaks outside or inside the car. My other ideas is the thermostat...

Any way to chance to tell if its the thermostat BEFORE I tear apart everything?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Typically, a failed thermostat means your car will take a long time to get up to 1/4 on the temp gauge, and only hit 3/8 if you are sitting still for a really long time. Temp will normally top out at around 160~170F if you have a way to measure actual temps (scanner, or thermometer in the return stream, in the reservoir).

If your temp gauge gets up to 3/8 or higher fairly quickly, I'd suspect the heater core or air mix flaps.

The Thermostat Gauge in the car doesnt leave the 1/4 mark on the cold side.

Replace thermostat. Use the Stant one, not the cheapy from Autozone. Napa stocks them.
