Default subframe??

I own a 99 saturn sl sohc and i hit a curb tonight trying to avoid someone who can't drive. from a brief look under the car when i got home it looks like i have a bent subframe and swaybar. do the coupe and sedan have the same front subframe? also is anyone parting out a saturn and are willing to sell me a subframe?

This is unbelievable. Yours is the third thread in a couple of days, mine being the first. You should have looked at the first page before posting. My thread is titled "99 SL2 Cradle > 01 SC2??" Turns out, all these engine cradles are the same. I'm in a good position with the part, because my ex just seized up her engine (I just saw a thread about that). She's going to let me have what I need from her car, but I can't find someone to help me do the swap.

I don't mean it's unbelievable that you posted without searching, that was just a suggestion. What's unbelievable is that there's a lot of bent sub frames going around now. It's catching. I hope you find someone to help. I hope I can find someone. I don't mind tackling this, I just want someone there when I do.

Just a clarification - the subframes aren't ALL the same. They are the same across models, but not across all years.

Happens all the time here. One month, there's a plague of bad clutch hydraulics. Next month, it's a swarm of reverse slams. March is cradle month here on SF. We also seem be having a special on premature radiator failures (two or three this month, replacement rad, aprx. a year old). It's uncanny. 'Course, sometimes it's "seasonal"; we had a lot of diff pins thrown in Jan and Feb, during snow/ice season.

Yes, I remember it well last year, as I was in that group. I've been trying really hard to not spin the tires. If they start, I hit down on the clutch until they stop.

That's very likely, I believe there are only 2-3 subframe designs, I know some or all 1st gens have a different subframe than the 2nd/3rd gens.
