Question 94 SC 1....are these becoming rare?

Just was curious...

Most of the people that I have seen post questions about the S-Series either have a prior year to the 94 SC 1 or a latter year to the 94 SC 1....so my question is this....I have a 94 SC 1....is that year of the SC 1 becoming rare, because I don't ever see anyone asking anything about them....

Just wondering....

Not sure why it would be considered rare.

I believe you're right though Brian...

1993 and 1994 SC1's do seem to be pretty rare (aside from the wagons). When my grandparents bought their first Saturn back in 1994 they were going to get a gold SC1 (like yours) or a gold SL1. The ONLY reason they picked the SL1 was because it had a 5th seat, and my cousin was visiting that summer and they needed a 5th seatbelt. Also, my grandpa was irritated that they charged about $1000 more for a 2 door.

I think most people went with the SC2 model. When the 1995 year came out I think they started selling more SC1's. Atleast that's the trend I see around here. I hardly ever see a pre-1995 SC1.

My grandparents finally did trade in their 1994 SL1 for a 1999 SC1 which they still have. The 2nd gen SC1's are much more common IMO.

Up here whats considered rare is the DOHC L series and SC series, SL are way too popular, but none in junkyards, if you wanted a L or SC series you would almost need to head to lower states to find one. So yeah, i would consider it kinda rare... but not that rare. More like Meduim rare.... how i like my steak

All L series cars are DOHC.

Do you mean SL2s are rare there?

mine's a '93 SC1 (same as the '94). the reason I have it is because a friend GAVE it to me when she couldn't sell it. so, maybe rare, but not desireable.

I've got a 93 SC1. Compared to the other s-series during that time, I hardly ever seen 1st gen SC1s. If I do see any they are all beat up looking, that why I keep mine looking mint.

Up here in Wa state I see lots of 92, 93, and 94 Saturns. The dealer here was very successful at selling Saturns. What I haven't seen is any 91 SC's other than mine and the one that the dealership president has hidden away. A red one with less than 20,000 miles on it. There are some 91 SL's I am sure but I can't tell them apart from the 92 etc like I can the SC.
