I would think that its worth a try to attempt cleaning it since you have nothing to lose and the engine is still running at less than peak performance. You have the throttle body removed from the engine so removing the IACV is just another step in this cleaning process. Just my 2-cents.

The positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve is just a one-way valve for engine blow-by gases to be re-introduced back into the engine through the intake manifold. Clean with solvent or replace it.

hi, ok i know now which part you mean, and i took the throttle
body off again, cleaned everything (REALLY CLEAN) and put it
back.

Testride > Same problem

i took 2 short vids today, to show how it cuts off (744kb and 1.3mb)

hitch clutch, rpm goes down, engine cuts off > http://www.illenium.de/saturn/DSCI0055.avi

next traffic light, see the rpm stays straight at 900-1000 when
the car is not moving, speed up, 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear,
stay on clutch, nearly cuts off > http://www.illenium.de/saturn/DSCI0059.avi

done:

engine check (no codes) (89 USD)
new oil + filter (40 USD)
new airfilter (19 USD)
new ECTS (18 USD)
new sparkplugs (15 USD)
new spark wires (25 USD)
new ignition coils (49 USD)
new air sensor (12 USD)
new idle throttle position sensor (29 USD)
cleaned throttle body + IAC (nada)

1-Unable to view videos.
2-Since nothing has changed there are still some things to check;
a)fuel filter changed?
b)fuel pressure regulator; pull the vacuum line off to check the vacuum side of the regulator is not full of gas. No gas verifies a good regulator.
c)was the EGR valve cleaned/replaced? Pull the vacuum line and plug it, the idle should remain the same, drive normally and observe for engine dying again when clutching.

the vids works on my computer, i can upload it to
youtube if this would help

the fuel filter was not changed, since the problem only
occures once the engine is warm, but i will replace it
asap (its just a few bucks i think), is the filter located
under the backseat on the fuelpump?

is there a how to for checking the vacuum, i dont know where
to find these parts? is it the line that goes to the pcv? or the lines
on the throttle body?

the egr was not cleaned/changed, i also dont know where this
part is located, hopefully this one works because its very expensive
(100 and up on advanceautoparts.com )

Try cleaning the old EGR valve first; be sure that the shaft will move freely from the open position to the closed position after cleaning the deposits of the pintle valve and shaft. Here's a picture.........

hey guys, i wasnt able to change the fuel filter by now
because of the bad weather

the car is now runing very rough, it also makes
noise since a few days. when i start the cold
engine i can hear a strange sound, like something
is squeaking, like drill into metall, i have to record
it because i dont know how to describe it.

somethings really wrong

once the engine is warm, the noise goes away, but its
runing very rough, its hard to keep a constant speed,
like when im driving 30mph its shaking me back and forward

i dont know if this is something that has to do with the
egr, which i also have to clean on the weekend

seems like my saturn will break down soon

With the above in mind, the top of the left most coil, should go to plug well [4].

The second from the left coil [2], should go to spark plug well [1]
The third from the left coil [3], should go to spark plug well [2]
the fourth from the left coil [4], should go to spark plug well [3].

There should be a graph on the center of the engine compartment's radiator, just where the hood latches to the center grill area.
Would this be the same for a 97 S series?

Yes, but by "left to right", Luke means YOUR left to right, standing under the hood, that is, the CAR's rightmost plug (by the reservoir / washer fluid) is #1.
