Abs light wont go off

Hey. I have a 2001 sc2. Great car, I love it. The problem is the ABS light has been on since we started driving. Bought it used. We have put new wheel bearings, new speed sensors and a radiator, and well do tie rod ends once the snows gone. We thought after the wheel bearings and speed sensors were in, that would fix it. Also the brake light is on too, I should add. So we bought an OHM reader, put it on the diagnostic test. The first time we put it on, it said that there was a wheel speed sensor malfunction on all. We figured out that there was no power going to the speed sensors that we replaced, which was causing the test to say wheel speed malfunction. My boyfriend is right now changing the brake fluid, and were hoping that will help. He has done pretty much everything we can think of to get it off to no avail. We're thinking that if it doesnt go off today when hes done, that it might be the whole ABS modulator or whatever its called. Im just looking for any suggestions...We need to get it inspected ..and its inspectable, except we cant get this light off. We thought we could put it on the diagnostic and shut the light off however you do it...but we havent. We're about to put black tape over it just so we can get it legal...i just got pulled over yesterday and the cop took our bad) sticker....but putting tape over it doesnt fix the problem. He's been working on cars since he was a kid, its not like he doesnt know what hes doing...but this ABS has really just thrown us for a loop. Its like...every time we replace/fix what we think could be causing the ABS light to stay on....and it doesn't. Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you

1-What's an OHM reader? Do you mean OBD II reader (On Board Diagnostics II)?

2- Low brake fluid is detected by the sensor in the brake master cylinder reservoir and turns on the brake light. The parking brake switch also turns on the brake light. The brake light does not indicate abs faults.

3-Abs has its own circuits to self diagnose abs issues. When the abs light turns on, it's usually for one of several reasons; cycling on/off at ignition on time as part of automatic system tests, emergency braking with abs activating automatically, and failure occurring with abs at any time. The abs light does not indicate brake faults.

There are two separate issues, the brake system with its brake light and an abs fault with its abs light. Each has its own problem(s). If brakes are worn, especially the front disc brakes, fluid level can drop. Presuming a leak doesn't exist, brakes are checked and repaired as necessary along with replacing brake fluid, at least every time front disc brakes are replaced. The abs light usually means one of several things; wheel speed sensor(s), wiring to each sensor or damaged reluctors (steel toothed rings on each CV joint or wheel hub). Virtually all abs faults are about external issues and not faults to the abs unit sitting near to brake master cylinder.

If the piece of tape was to slip onto the back side of the gauge overlay it wouldn't be quite so obvious.

Do you know which code(s) were set?
Not the description, the actual number. Especially important with ABS codes...my listing shows multiple numbers with very very similar descriptions but vary different diagnostics.
