Red Line Turbocharged Questions

I've heard there was a dealer upgrade kit that boosted the 260hp Red Line 2.0L LNF I4 engine to 290hp. Was this kit even offered for the 2009 model and if so is there a way to tell by vehicle/engine inspection that the kit has been installed? I'm not experienced in working my way around an engine, but very much would like to learn. Thanks!

GM offered the GMPP tune as a dealer-installed item for all model years of the LNF engine (2007 - 2009).

There are a couple of items that may point to the GM tune being installed on your car:

1) "Premium Fuel Only" sticker inside the fuel fill area
2) Revised T-Map sensor
3) Boost will be higher than stock at around 21 - 23 PSI.

Just My $0.02: If you are looking for the best bang for the buck when it comes to a tune, check out the "budget" tune by Trifecta. For $200 it is one of the best tunes on the market.
