Mad 2003 l200 cooling fan !!!!

so last year the wife was driving the car and a rock got stuck in the number 2 cooling fan.the fuse was poped and the fan stoped working.so she took out the rock and put in a new fuse and now the fans one and two act erratic!!!

the fans will not come on at all or will come on at high speeds and not shut off!!!

i took out the Fan Control Module and put in a new one this did not fix the problem!

so the question is ....."do you think the P.C.M. was damaged by the over-load from the rock in the fan"?

please just tell me what is wrong with it......so i can move on with my life.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Default Re: 2003 l200 cooling fan !!!!

I had a similar problem on my L Series 4 cylinder.

Both cooling fans were always running on high speed.

Changing the fan module did not fix the problem.

The fix was made by changing the power control module.

I believe the power control module is behind the glove box but you should confirm the location.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
