Dizzy New Lseries color

We have built several L series in the last week that are a new color. It is called Tarragon. It looks like olive baby PooPoo to me. Keep a eye out for them..

A color like that should attract major fleet sales for the new soon-to-be recruited Baghdad police force.

Does this new color look anything like the "silver green" that Saturn has advertised in its literature for the 2003 L. If that's not a color that is aimed right at buyers over 75 with one foot in the hole, I don't know what is.

Guess Saturn is branching off the concept of Color simplicity. Lately the new colors I don't even know how to pronounce or having any visual impression of what color is that.....

Is Tarragon a 'Green-type' of metallic color?

Qlara, you hit the nail on the head. One of the original Saturn concepts was to stick to simple to understand color names ("light red", "blue-green"). They started to veer a little off this with colors like "light plum", but "tarragon"? (Maybe "baby poo green" was TOO descriptive!)

Are you talking about Silver-Green. I like the Silver-Green color or is this a different one?

Default Passat....

The 2003 L-series colors are almost a match to the 2003 Passat. The silver green color, the pewter color, the greys, etc. The silver-grey sells well on the VW and should sell well on the L. I like it. Tired of silver cars.... every other car on the road is silver.

"The 2003 L-series colors are almost a match to the 2003 Passat."

I noticed that fact as well, hence my comment on them looking very European.

I don't think the silver-green looks 'old-foggy' at all. Guess it's a very subjective thing.

I saw a brand new Chevy Trailblazer today that sported that exact same color.

Must be a GM thing.

Maybe that's why the new color names are very European too.

I'll add to the above:

One foot in the grave,
The other one on a banana peel &
A razer blade in between!

That should complete the joke.

I saw a silver green L Series car today for the first time. It's in the dealer's showroom. Looks really great. I'll take this shade of green anyday over the dark green.

The silver green that Saturn showed on a LW 200 at last spring's NYIAS, and which the representative referred to as "Sage," looked great. I don't know if Tarragon is the same color, but if it is, this is the green that Saab has been offering on the 9.3 for several years. The wagon had a tan interior, but this color looks very sophisticated with a black leather interior on the Saab...not an old folks' color at all.

It is known as Silver Green in production form and is sharp when had with the Chrome Wheels.

"I dont want to look like any smelly European @#$@ "

Especially German or French colors :-)

Nonetheless, that green is everywhere, and while it looks ok today, in 5 years people will be saying "what were they thinking buying a babydodo green car".

Black/Silver/White. Timeless colors.

Is L-series still carrying the Maroon (Medium Red) color? I never saw one on the road, mostly Silver, Gold, and Dark Blue.....

That red does look good.

However, it makes the car look alot more sedate.

There is a medium red on the 2003 L.. but it is more like paprika... it's interesting to look at.
