Default Lemon

In the last three months the transmission went out, I. had to replace the intake manifold gasket, throttle position sensor, and now a P0741 code. I fortunately bought a 3 year 36,000 warranty. This car is a 2002 SL1 with 101,000 miles

Interesting. Not sure but check your charging system. Make sure the alternator is putting out the right voltages. The trannys can be picky sometimes

Three repairs on a 2002 with 100,000 miles does not a lemon make.

It may not be entirely the car's fault as someone got rid of it before you. There may be some lack of maintenance in it's past that contributed to some of your problems. Overall the S-series is a pretty reliable car.

BTW (as Wolfman says), Check your oil regularly as some S-series will use a bit of oil.
