I like the updated front badge in the bumper. The one with a clear red cover on a chrome-back badge. Off an Ion or L-Series? The Vue had light red plastic in the badge. The S-Series was a molded-one-piece dark red badge. Fascinating.

Presuming the poster meant it ironically, I nominated it for Best of Craigslist.

Why is it posters always cut off part of the car? Do they think we'll buy a car sight unseen over the internet? And why two views of the driver side (one too blurry to show anything), none of the front, back, interior or passenger side? Something is unstated or unseen because a nice 99 3-door in good running order goes for double their asking price hereabouts. The bonehead (at least more than usual) is the 6-speed transmission.

At least this one http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/cto/3973266060.html does state it's a rebuilt title even if you must read nearly all the way through to get to that.

One, mileage is listed to the right on the top.

Two: In Michigan cars are sold without front license plate holders, not all states require a front plate. All of the ones on that lot that I can see don't have front plates, and many no holders.

I'd call it bonehead just for the ugly as s%*t rims that the rice-turd put on it. Why can't people just leave some things be? Like an SC2 that probably had alloy wheels to begin with.

North Carolina does not require a front license plate.

The bracket is missing, but the holes are there.

Hence either the entire car, or as I suspect, just the front, came from another state that requires front plates. The incorrect Saturn Badge on the front is another clue...

Rebuild job, probably a with salvage title.
Easy to transferred to a state which does not have salvage titles, then back...

Not really even sure where to begin with this one. It's apparently worth a lot of money even though it has what looks like parts from four different cars on the body.

Yes apparently information like options and transmission type are unimportant to a potential buyer. I'd quibble that a replacement motor with 98k miles on it is far from "New" but heck, writer's a Bonehead...

Would it kill them to include a picture of this rare "2-Door Sedan"? Maybe some info like transmission type, optional equipment, location? Often seems like people don't really Want to sell their cars...

***Black 2002 Saturn SC2*** - $3000

2002 Saturn SC2 coupe.... $3000, or best reasonable offer

I am listing this car for my grandpa, he is the owner of the car. He purchased it for a family member that couldnt keep up with payments to him, so he is selling for what he has into the car. He is retired from Allison Transmission, and has extensive knowledge about cars and engines. Ask him any question and he will be able to answer it. He replaced all of the new items listed on here himself to make sure it was in good running condition for my family member. Please call (no text or emails) if you have any questions or are interested in looking at the vehicle. Thank you, and god bless.

2.2 liter engine - overhead valve
approximately 180k miles
sun roof!!
new brakes, rotors, water pump, wires and plugs, ignition cylinder, runs like a dream regardless of miles, test drives welcome.
2.2 OHV in an SC2... Also $3,000 with 188k miles.

well I guess they'd be OverHead Valves, been a really long time since any cars have been manufactured with sidevalves...

True

I assume they were meaning overhead valves as in cam-in-block with pushrods though as opposed to the (dual) overhead cam like the 2.2l Ecotechs in the Ion/L Series.

Yes it seems there might have been a little confusion translating what Grandpa said to what Grandchild put up on CL.

Surely Grandpa didn't truly think he'll get back out what he put in dollarwise...

That is just Wrong on so many levels...

Including but not limited to the "Super Clean Paintwork" smashed to $#@! on one side, the gawdawful paint color, the basic concept of modding a Tercel into a Beemer. The list goes on and on...
