2006 VUE Red Line
Default Rear axle bearing play in AWD diff?

Anyone with a 2002-2007 Vue ever check the play in the axle where it comes out of the rear differential while under their vehicle? I was in there the other day doing rear brakes and moved the shaft up and down, seems to be a lot of play/movement. I'm wondering if this is normal? Are others like this or is it supposed to be tight? I would have thought it should have been tight but.....??? Seems a little stange to me.

If some guys could check theirs I would appreciate it. I may have to go to a dealer late one night and look under the Equinox/Torrent to see if they are the same or not.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

I also noticed a lot of up & down, front to back , and in and out slack were the axle shafts exit the differential, I'm not sure if it's normal, I noticed it a couple years ago when I changed my RDM fluid and haven't done anything with it and it seems ok.I removed the props and checked it again last week and doesn't seem to be getting worse or leaking fluid(besides a little seal sweating). I think my fronts have some slack also.

Maybe it's GM 'normal' then........ don't know.

Just seems a little strange to me. The front axle shafts seem tight.

I'm going to check out a few Equinox/Torrents once I lose this damn cold.
