Default 1999 sc2 window relay too hot

Hello. So, my passenger side window sometimes doesn't work, and when I went to jiggle the relay (not sure why I thought this was a good idea), it was very hot. Almost hot enough to burn my hand. Not sure what to do next. If I put it back in, my window will work most of the time.

MIght try changin out an 18 year old relay...

WAs it hot without you activating the window, or after repeatedly trying to get it to work and no go?

If so , for how long were you presing the window switch?

Note that: Coils (as solenoids) heat up IFF they are energized for more than a brief moment.

The cause of the problem may be that the return spring in the Switch has expired, causing the switch to remain ON,
{or could be stuck relay, as mentioned above}

It's been a while since I checked back in here. So, I switched out the window relay with another relay that was not being used. Now both my windows are not working. I will keep troubleshooting. Have two window switches to use and no good on either. Will check the fuse again. Will find another window relay somewhere.... Possible wiring issue? The driver's side window has a new motor in it but never got it to work at all.

The relay was hot after trying to use the passenger window a few times (just to go back and answer the previous questions). Thank you for your time in replying!

Update: If I was to follow a wiring diagram, I wouldn't even know what to look for or how to fix a wiring issue if I found one. Split a new wire in? I am such a noob.
