1998 SC2
Default Forgive me for I have sinned...

I feel bad 'cause I was thinking about cheating on my SC2. I checked out a '91 Dodge Stealth TT. Tons (actually almost 2 tons) 'o fun but I figured it'd be a ticking time bomb in the repair department so I passed. I then located a sweet '95 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX on eBay. It looked to be a excellent shape and there were asking $6000 to start. Not too bad. However, I sat down talked myself out of it. Why? I've loved and likely invested too much in my Saturn. I mean, I just had the transmission rebuilt, had a lightweight flywheel and Phantom Grip quasi-LSD installed recently. I don't even have 2,000 miles on it yet and I wanted to sell my car?! Hell, I haven't totally paid off that work yet. Still the Saturn is fun and practical. Can the GSX get 36mpg on the highway? No, upper 20's on premium if I'm lucky. The GSX will certainly out-launch, outrun, and have an edge over the SC2 in inclement weather. However, the LSD seems to be a decent investment. I can feel it work in everyday situations. So, no AWD, just FWD with a LSD. At least my SC2 can outrun most ricers and still be gentle at the pump. So, I'm sticking with what I have. Besides, I'm leaving for the Navy in a few months. It might not be the best financial decision to change rides right now.

BTW, anyone want my old stock flywheel? $50 shipped. It's listed in the classifieds.

First off, what's an LSD?

Secondly, to get rid of that flywheel... try a scrap recycling yard.

Normally it's Lysergic Acid Diethylamide, commonly called LSD, acid, or LSD-25, is a semisynthetic psychedelic drug.

But in this case I think he means Limied Slip Differential.

Unless getting messed up on goofballs has improved his driving.

Make your car two wheel drive instead of one wheel drive, most of the time.

if you are heading to Navy boot camp in a few months, I recommend you dont make any major changes or decisions until you get through boot camp, find out where you will be stationed, what you job will be, and how your money/budget is going to pan out

it may seem like you will have a lot of spare cash a few months from now, but I would wait till you get to that point and see how it goes.

All right $40 shipped. $20-25 of that is shipping since the flywheel weighs about 18 pounds. I just want it gone, hopefully to someone who can use it.
