this is my first post and I feel extremely stupid. Some time back one of my map lights quit working, so I took the little unit apart to see if the bulb was bad, it looked fine so I put it back in...now, when I turn on the dome light or the map light the only thing that comes on is the light that says the trunk is open, and it goes off when you turn the light off, my electic door locks don't work, the little key fob thing doesn't work....I think they are all related but I'm not positive.....I feel like an idiot, I don't know what I did to cause this......
any suggestions would be appreciated thanks, mark |

Pull the map light back out. Check the dome lite with the map disconnected.
If the dome works, it's possible that the map lite connections need to be reversed. The map lite housing might be a chassis ground. Check for blown fuses once you've got the map light out and disconnected. I'm just guessing but it sounds like the circuit is or was being prematurely grounded. |
