If you have a spare remote, try it. Do the master door lock switch work to lock and unlock doors?

My guess is the door lock switch is faulty. All signals unrelated to engine management (EFI system) are sent to the body control module. The bcm runs everything except air bag and abs. They have their own module as separate systems. All modules including the ecm/pcm send error codes to the bcm for output to the OBD II port.

still having the issue not sure what it is neither the drivers side or passenger side power lock button will lock the doors but both will unlock the doors when i press the lock button on either side i hear a clicking noise but it sounds like it is coming from behind my radio or in that general area im at a loss and just been locking the doors manually

It would be helpful if punctuation were used in the post quoted above. Many times I find it awkward to interpret where changes in sentences belong. If clarity matters to anyone out there punctuation really does matter. (If you think it doesn't matter then take a look at the next contract you sign.)

Oh well... Here's what comes to mind:

1) when problems like this arise they do not go away;
2) the OP has been given as good advice as is possible for outsiders to provide;
3) I agree with fdryer that the problem is likely to be a switch failure (post #4).
4) If the driver's door lock switch operates locks at both doors then it is effectively a "master" switch. I believe that it should be replaced first. The failure in this type of switch can result in the same failure of operation through another door lock switch;
5) It's up to the OP to decide what to do next. In any event, this is not a particularly difficult problem to resolve.

Biden/Harris predictions, '21 -'25: weak economy; weaker military; more terrorism; emboldened RED CHINA. Sadly, B & H are proving me correct.
