Default New 2nd owner of 93 SC2 here

Hey. My Cousin just gave me her 93 SC2 after her father gave her a newer SL model. I have yet to get it inspected but I can see the 1st priority will be installing 95 3 point belts. 2nd will be the key-in chime. Besides that. I see why she kept it so long.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

2001 L-Series 2.2L Sedan
Default Update: New 2nd owner of 93 SC2 here

Thanks Marx404

Well She (Goldie) passed Md State Inspection on Monday. Only had two issues.
-The odometer gears
Which I knew about and replaced last Thursday.
And
-The left front outer tie rod.
I replaced that Sunday. Upon the test drive I discovered that I mis-counted threads. But I took care of that on the lonesome end of a Walmart parking lot.

I also Replaced the T-stat with a Stant 195 F one that day. She was running cold and I suspected it had failed in an open state.
Checked the ECTS, (IT'S BRASS). And the temp guage sensor, (IT'S BRASS). The Brass one I bought from Pep Boys turned out to be an IAT.. So now (IT'S BRASS) too The two connectors were already replaced and soldered by My cousins Mechanic.... I bet he sure misses this car. I just picked up the maintenance and repair history from her (my Cousin) today. By the way.... What's a BFG? I bet that mechanic REALLY misses this car.

I probably went overboard with a pack of zip-ties on the front underbody. I flipped the Air Dam so it no-longer looks like it's out of place, or just falling off. It's nice and tucked now. Low qulity camera phone pics will be uploaded eventually.

Hmmm, As posted elswhere, I had to replace the ignition lock cylynder At least that was in front of a family members house. The auto seatbelts were parked in the fully locked position, the module was disconnected, and the false "key in ignition" chime was taken care of that day too.

Last week, or week before last, I had an auto trans fluid leak. The fram trans filter was the culprit. So Goldie got a nice red one from the local Saturn Dealer

Well so far, this free car has cost roughly $500 to drive legally here in Md. With the State getting the Loins share of that. But they're not done yet. The emissions test notice should be here in a month or two.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

LMAO! Well I hope he didn't charge my cousin a couple hundred for a big grin.
I'll have to look over those maintenance records again.

Its the only kind of BFG I know of, if there is a BFG car part, I'm clueless.
I had to wonder what the context of the original BFG question was...

Late update: poor handwriting on the mechanics behalf. BFG actually read BRGs. As in axle/knuckle bearings. Had the drivers side LCA replaced too. She's still running strong and holding on due to the 205/50/15's she now wears.
