I'm sure there will be a RELAY forum--it would only make sense.

Relay production starts September 27th IIRC so they should be in dealers by Halloween.

Im sure there will be a Relay forum ,but I think that because it will be the first all metal Saturn(and many of us have mixed feelings about that) new family members are going to have their work cut out defending Her.

I can assure you that no one will have to defend their purchase of a Relay. We are all Saturn owners and part of the SaturnFans family -- I will not tolerate anyone questioning why another member purchased any car, whether its a Relay, VUE, ION, L300, or another make. We all have our personal preferences, and reasons for doing things. Whether you, me, or anyone else likes it or not, the Relay is a Saturn and SaturnFans is a community for Saturn owners.

BTW, I've had a delay in implementing some of the changes in store for the site. The Relay forum will come online once everything is complete.

Hope the clears things up,
Charlie

My wife is in freaking love with the thing and wants to buy one. :/ I am not fond of the looks either.

I do like the DVD player package but that won't push me over the edge to buy one.

Besides, I NEVER buy a first year of anything.

I just got a large post card about the Relay. The interior looks VERY nice. I really hope it looks as nice in person. It would be a very, very good thing!

I like minivans, but I don't need or want anything that big. I am more interested in the L Series replacement, particularly if it comes as a wagon/hatch similar to the Malibu Maxx. (I hope it also will have a very, very nice interior.)

well zuul24, it's technically not the first year, since it's off a platform from 1997 and i think the engine is a deriative of the 3.4 V6 currently in 96-04 GM vans. as well as others.

I can't see why Relay wouldn't get its own forum. BTW, the Relay's interior is light years ahead of what has passed for the passenger cabin in recent GM vehicles. That being said, I'm not really in the market for a CSV or minivan, but I wont begrudge the person who is.

I welcome any Saturn owner to this forum. What I like about this forum compared to others is the supportive and positive way people have treated me. I hope Relay owners find this forum a way of appreciating and taking care of their Saturn. I know it has made a Saturn fan out of me! Charlie, I appreciated your earlier post and all that you do. You are doing a great job! What you said was right on target.

Personally I'll be looking forward to reading about this new Saturn and the owner's experiences with it. I don't think it's bad looking at all.
Compare it to over wrought Mitsubishi Montero with all the lumps and bumps and chrome. The styling isn't unpleasant.

no comment...
edit: ok i have to say that it will be interesting the first time someone finds out the hard way that the relay doesn't have plastic body panels on it in the saturn retailer showroom. "kick!" "ouch!" "uh oh..."

Ooh, I can see it now... moron comes into dealer... wants to buy a Relay... tries to punch the door panel to be a big shot... busts up his hand... and sues Saturn.

Saturn will most likely take the mallet out of our showroom. But they may as well do it now because future Saturns will most likely be made out of Metal like the Relay and the new sports car.

I've got nothing against anyone who wants to buy one. Anyone who supports Saturn is cool with me. But, at the same time I'd by lying if I said the Honda Odyssey and Dodge Caravan are still light years ahead of it, and that no one would confuse a Relay with a '97 Buick Riviera! Thats all I'm saying!

Thank You Charlie!

You newer members have no idea what us first year 2003 ION owners went through with some older members, it wasn't very pleasant.
Everyone should feel comfortable spending quality time here.
