1993 SC2
Default FS: 93 SC2 5sp A/C in MD

1993 SC2 5 Speed A/C. Lots of new parts. $600. Silver Spring MD area. Pics are in my gallery. More available on request.
http://www.saturnfans.com/photos/sho...0&ppuser=13295

Had started as a project for a daily commuter but I've just got too many upcoming projects to continue. You may want to look at her as a parts car or as a project to finish. She looks great & finished but...

The Good -
Decent Teal Paint (aren't they all decent?)
Good/Very Good beige interior
A/C works
All Glass Good
Seatbelt 'mice' work
Runs well - slight tick after sitting a while (days-weeks)
All new Mounts - Saturn Parts - engine & tranny
New Axles (remanufactured)
New Hub Bearings
New KYB Struts Front & Rear
New KYB Strut Mounts (Front)
New Front Lower Control Arms
New Front Brakes & Rotors
New Knock Sensor
4 new Dunlop Graspix DS2 Snow Tires on new Steel Wheels (<500 miles)

Passed MD State inspection several months ago.
Original teardrop Alloys with ok tires

The Bad:

Needs Front Cradle or someone who knows how to 'adjust' them. Car had bent front cradle. I obtained a fresh one from the junkyard, cleaned & painted it... turns out it's bent too...slight deformation on driver's side by lower arm mount. Priced new one @ $645 at dealer.

Has 'clunk' when initially starting out - may be loose mount that I didn't tighten fully or ??

Have a clinking noise that --sometimes-- appears while driving, but not always. Is related to road speed. Varies by car speed, not by engine speed. Can hear while coasting in neutral... may be bad remanned CV joint?? Have original axles which made no noises.

Have new - Temp Sensors, Thermostat & Speed Sensor

Will be glad to answer any questions.

Thanks,
Jay

ARGH! left out the mileage.. 162k

Very drivable. Cradle isn't 'all bent up', just deformed enough that the best camber I could get is 1 degree positive... so it's just slightlty positive cambered on the drivers side but ok on the passengers side. Makes it a little bit sensitive at highway speeds but drives ok. Was good enough for MD inspection.

Thanks,
Jay

Clutch appears to be in decent shape. Don't know it's history but it will easily hold car to stall (DOH!) and chirp tires on agressive take off.

Open to offer if you're really interested & can take her soon. Losing my garage space (neighbor selling house where I had use of garage) and need to move other hobby cars (3) to my house.

The only issue being you are so far away.

Id have to spend like 100$ in gas alone

I know all about the gas costs. Just dropped over $350 in gas going to the GRM $2005 Challenge in Gainesville FL. Even with my truck getting 14mpg while towing, it still hurt.

Like I said, make me a worthwhile offer. I'm already losing my shirt on this one

$500.00 cash will work provided that you can pick her up within a couple of weeks. She should be able to make it to NE Ohio, no problems. Can't guarantee anything but I would feel fine about it if I were making the drive myself. No safety or drivability concerns... As I said, the only issues are the cradle/alignment issue along with whatever the occasional clinking noise is.

Geartooth - Thanks for the good word. Spread word of it around. I'm losing my shirt but I need the space & time more.

Thanks,
Jay
