Question 2008 Astra H 1.8 l engine operating temp for fan operation?

HI, Does anyone know the radiator fan operating temperature for a 2008 Saturn Astra H 1.8 L??
My fan does not come on. The temp reached yesterday was 96 degrees and no fan came on no 1400 codes came up as I keep checking.

THANKS

What does your cooling temperature show for a normal engine? 96F ambient temps is not very hot. If you're in local stop and go traffic, the cooling fan may cycle as coolant temps reach a certain value like 220F. There are several ways to test fan operation starting with checking the fuse for three cooling fan. If ac works, turning on ac should turn on cooling fan - two radiators warm up and warm/hot condenser coil airflow going into the radiator won't help with cooling so the fan is turned on. Check too see fan operation with ac on. Another way to check fan operation is to power the fan directly from the battery.

Looking up P0141shows the downstream (after the catcon) O2 sensor heater is faulty. Either ther heater has an intermittent connection or it failed. You can try disconnecting and reconnecting it several times and see if the check engine light goes away on its own before replacing it. Car mileage?
