I've bought several sub $500 S-Series Saturns. Many are still on the road. And its been about three years since I purchased my last S-Series. I bought a 1993 SW2 in 2002 for $500 and it in my driveway right now. My father drives it every day. Bought a 1994 SL2 in 2004 for $500. My grandfather drove it for a couple years, then my brother and now my son's mother has it. I picked up a 2001 SC2 two years ago for $1700 and a 1999 SC2 in 2005 for $1000. Those are still driven as well and in great shape.

If you really would pay $2000-$2300 for a S-Series that age in good shape. I have some $$$ to make off of you.

Also all the links you posted dont really mean anything. Just because they're asking that amount, it doesnt mean they'll get it.

You can disagree all you want, I am talking about different markets. Over here, its not what its worth, period. There is no disagreeing, just check classifieds in other areas like mine.. They are worth less here, period.

I typed "Saturn SL" on Kijiji for Ontario and this was easily spotted on the first page.

I would if I didn't already have a good S-series. Most of the 1st-gens around here suffer from frame rust, and I'm guessing the one you'd sell me doesn't.

Same here.
You can find the odd good one, (I found an immaculate subframe for my wagon) but most have a good amount of rot going on.

I was lucky enough to find this under a 2001 SL2 at a wreckers about 40 mins from where I live. I couldn't believe the condition (zero rust, not even a spec) and I do live in the SW Ontario rust belt. No clue where this baby came from!

yeah really, and most of the first gens here in northern KY seem to sound like rice rockets, diesels, lawn mowers, etc..

and how is it that places like Ontario and Cali-land where a running S-series goes for a few Franklins? is it due to all the heavy emissions, Saturns being worst on resale, or...?

as for that one asking for ten Franklins for a blown head (gasket?), I'd kindly offer them half of that.

you can find a half-decent runner for $1,000. I would personally ask for anywhere between 1/4 and 1/2 of that price.

I'd also like to know why the engine failed at 69,000 miles, though.

This is a recently traded 1995 Saturn Wagon. One-owner, old-timer, with very low mileage. Color is white with a gray interior that shows hardly any wear. It has the 1.9 overhead cam engine that gets great mileage. Especially with the 5-speed manual transmission. The car runs perfect. A/C is ice cold. Tires are excellent. Goes down the road like a new one. A few scratches on rear bumper from use and a small rust spot in the left rear-door opening, as shown in picture. Very easy fix.
