2000 SL2 Saturn Priced to Sell - $1300 (Tukwila)

Our family is expanding and 4-door sedans aren't working for us anymore. I bought this 5-speed manual in 2004 with 64,000 miles on it. I swear to you I've never had a significant problem with it--it's a great car. It now has only 114,000 miles on it. I've given it regular oil changes and kept it running great. Kelly Blue Book says if it was in good condition I could reasonably sell it for $2,500. In my opinion it is in fair condition, which should go for $1,770.

I say it's "fair" and I'm selling it "as is" for $1,300 and here is why:

It's in need of a tune up. The car doesn't have any real problems that I can see, it's just running a little rough and needs a tune up. There is slight damage to the left front corner, which I provided a picture of. And the last thing is that the tabs are expired, expired in May. I honestly think if I was patient I could get more for it, but I don't care, I just want to sell it so we can get a car that fits our families needs.

Call, email, or preferably text if you have any questions--I stay up late. We want a small SUV or van, so if you're interested in trading and you have a decent vehicle we'd be interested in that too.

Wow, if I were closer I'd be walking up to the guy with cash in hand. Little unfortunate that it's an automatic, but for $500 I'd live with it.

"It won't start" covers a lot of ground. He doesn't say if it's cranking but not starting, starter not engaging, dead battery, or what. For $500 it would be worth it to somebody who's interested and in the area taking a closer look at it to see if it's something simple.

Maybe his starter is out? I've had em go out in 2 of mine and the last time replaced it myself. That long bolt attaching the starter was a ******* to get to since I don't have a lift and I'm not the most mechanically inclined some days.

He tried to jump it and that didn't work. He said it just makes a "tick" sound when he tries to start it. Sounds like a bad starter solenoid to me. If it were closer I would go take a look at it!

Wow that first post for that 98 for 500, gimme that! We have a 93 manual and we are having a hard time learning to drive it. Anyway. Yeah gimme! :P
