Saturnalia Newbie, here. How's it going?
Making a long story short, I recently obtained a 1993 SL1 with the SOHC engine, 5 speed manual. Peppy enough little car, but it needs a bit more. From what I've read so far, you guys seem to know your stuff, so I figured I'd ask for your opinions:
Should I swap in a used 93 (or newer) Twin Cam? Are Twin Cam motors a direct bolt-on to my SOHC body and tranny? Or is this a waste of money compared to adding some mods to the SOHC engine I already have? For the latter option, I was thinking cold air, cat back, 8mm plug wires to start, followed by suspension. Beyond that, I'm not sure.
So ... any suggestions?

replacing the 93 sohc with a 93 dohc will give you a (85 vs 124) 39 hp gain. you'd need the engine, trans, pcm, speedo and tach to go with it.
