2006 ION-2 Sedan
Default GMPP Intake

Does anybody know if this part: #17800653 will work on the ION without getting a tune? I don't think the air box/heat shield will fit right under the hood but maybe the piping and filter?

Default Re: GMPP Intake

I highly doubt it.
I know you dont need one for the 03 and 04 (not like you can tune anyways), but i dont think you do.

Iv heard mixed stories of some needing it, and some not needing it.
I think it all comes down to how big the intake is, and where the position of the MAF sensor is.
I know the later ions are very picky of where their MAF sensor is located.
