1995 SL2
Default tires

A friend gave me 4 tires, 205/60-15 I know this is not the specified size, with more than 50% life left. I did a search on tire sizes to see if these would fit. I saw lots of info, but not on this tire size. I just would like to know if they will fit with out rubbing anything.

1995 SL2, 150,000 miles, replaced clutch and struts 2 yrs ago.

205/50's fit fine on stock alloy's, tons of fun. I imagine that a 60 series will float/flex so much as to not be any fun at all. Worth using if they're free, went a winter with free studded 195/70R14's that I got for free (otherwise they weren't worth it on a S-Series).

Tire & rim mix-match: http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
stock wheel info (assuming stock 15" wheels) needed for that site:
15" wheel
6" wide
+50mm offset
not needed but useful:
4x100 lug pattern
57.1mm hub

...
The proper way to fix a S-Series automatic is to replace it with a 5spd O:)

You do know that they will affect your speedometer, odometer and thus your mpg calculations right? Not a problem just as long as you know it.

2002 SL2
Default Re: tires

I've got them on the front with a 5mm spacer.

Don't know if they fit without the spacer, never tried, but planning to try soon...

On the back they fit no problem.

Ride is radically different, car just wants to go straight...
20 mm more rubber than the 185's,
turning the wheel takes a little more effort,
speedo is not off by much, maybe 2-4 mph...

...
2002 Silver SL2, manual, 5th gear swap (.605), 80,000 miles, black badges,
205/60R15 "H" rated tires, 5mm spacers rear...
Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30, NAPA 41516...
NGK BKR6E-11 spark plugs

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
