Default Anyone have pliers like this?

These came up in my "suggested" on Amazon because I've recently purchased some Christmas tree push pins, for my splash guards, on my truck. The Saturn has a lot of the push pins that have the center stud that locks the pin place.

I'm wondering if these pliers would really work well or if something better is out there.

I don't get how all the various listings of that tool have 4+ stars, all the pins they show them being used with either have the pin head recessed under the insert or it's flush with the insert...either way they need to dig into the insert to get the pin out and they don't do that any more than a normal pair of side cutters.

They may work for the "single action" pins, but over all I'd get either these push-pin pliers or this body panel tool kit

The purpose of the hobby is to collect tools. That is only countered by the fact that I'm cheap.

Thanks for the recommendation. It looks like it may be easier to use than the pry tool that came with the push pins I purchased.
