On Monday I pulled off the driver's side steering knuckle to swap out the hub and bearing. On Tuesday the shop did the swap and I finished putting it back together. The difference is AMAZING. It's so smooth and quiet now. I can't believe I lived with that terrible noise and vibration for so freaking long.

got it registered. FINALLY! Still had out of state plates. Nice to blend in again. Oh, and rigged up my broken moon roof too. made some struts to hold it open. quick to remove so I can close it. Gonna try and find some ball locking pins so I can pop out the whole glass quickly.

Ghetto, I know.

I did my second oil change. Used 5w-30 royal purple synthetic with filter. It normally costs 9 bucks a quart but pep boys had a sale that you get 5 quarts and a filter for 40 bucks. I also sea-foamed the crankcase and intake manifold before the oil change.

I was in the Goodwill store and found an original factory AM-FM cassette unit for my 96 SL for $2.99! Not that I'm ever going to need the cassette, but a spare radio at $3 is worth having on hand.

I picked up the 1994 SL2 I gave my sons mother to see why it failed the EVAP portion of the emissions test.

Found a broken coupling going from the tank vapor plastic line to the aluminum hard line.

Put in the CORRECT cam cover gasket, . I guess 3rd time is the charm. Now I KNOW it's not leaking oil from there, found another place that needs attention, the timing chain cover gasket, Hopefully, after all of this is taken care of, I won't be losing 2 quarts every week!!!

Loaded my Sl2 up with a bunch of scrap aluminum. Going down to the scrap yard to get some cash for it tomorrow. It ain't gonna be much, but hey, its better than throwing it away and getting nothing for it.

I also have about 10 old metal car radiators that I'm gonna bring. I guess this is more of what i did WITH my S-series today.

Its gonna need a good vacuum after this.

Day before yesterday I replaced the motor mount and front brakes, both of which were way overdue.

I also changed the blower motor out but put the old one back in when it didn't fix the a/c problem. It isn't blowing as much air as before. When I turn the switch to 4 it feels more like 2. We, my boyfriend and I, thought we'd change the blower motor first, then we tried the relay, now we're gonna try the resistor. Gotta order it so it'll be the weekend before we get the time.

Photos are attachments... mostly because when I tried uploading into my album I wasn't given an option to find the pictures from my computer.

Today I should be getting a rear quarter window swapped from my parts '95 SC1 to my '96 SC2. $95 for the swap at home vs $238 for new glass at the shop. Yay for a clear window soon, solid plastic gorilla taped in place sucks.

I'll also be replacing the rear O2 sensor and if the Post Office is nice I'll be putting an EGR valve on it for the first time since the engine was in my '93 SL2
